MySQL Data Connector

Filed under: News by alex at 03:49

Sergey Kholodilov was kind enough to share his work with us and now we have MySQL Data connector for POCO. At this time, it is only available from SVN and tested with 1.3.3 branch code on Windows, FreeBSD and Linux.

POCO community very much appreciates your contribution, Sergey.

  4. I am really excited to see the mysql componet in poco But how do i get it compiled?

Could you please help me with this?

I downloaded poco 1.3.3 from svn and type make; make install

It dose not install the data stuff. I add the componets into the Makefiles and type make;make install and it install the header but i still need the lib

  5. Add following lines to $POCO_BASE/components file:

    Data
    Data/MySQL

    Then:

    cd $POCO_BASE/Data;make;cd MySQL;make

Alternatively, edit $POCO_BASE/Makefile and do build from $POCO_BASE.

BTW, we are still looking for a volunteer to tidy up the POSIX build system. See the SF item 2003214 for details.
