Poco Webserver - handleRequest(...) not called

Postby RedNomis » 19 Aug 2014, 11:30

Hi all,

i have build the Poco libs on my debian Power PC successfully.
If i tried e.g. the HTTPTimeServer example, `handleRequest(...)` is not called from the Poco framework. On my Linux x86 PC everthing works fine, but not with the Debian.
The Browser will show the sand glass if the server is running, if i stop the server the browser show me a connection error.
I think its maybe not a Poco problem!?
If i tried ncat on my debian the result was ok.

Thanks Simon

connect and send the request using telnet or wget.

Log if createRequestHandler() is called.

Did you try to connect from the same machine your server is on using telnet or wget?

To check webserver functionality i use netcat.

netcat -l 9980 < index.html

index.html contains a example.

But if i connect the server with the port 9980 connection is not possible.

I'm not sure what you did with telnet.

logon on via ssh to the server where your HTTP Server is listening.
Then at the command line type telnet localhost 9980
GET / HTTP/1.0<enter>
<enter>

alternatively try:

echo -n "GET / HTTP/1.0\r\n\r\n" | nc localhost 9980
currently using: 1.5.3
