I found out about POCO from the Boost mailing list several weeks ago
and have been using it in earnest over the past two weeks to develop
an application. I just joined this mailing list today.
I just wanted to say that I am hugely impressed by the breadth of
functionality offered by POCO and the overall excellent quality of the
implementation code, samples, and documentation. It has been a real
pleasure developing my application, which I've now had up and running
for several days processing tens of Gigabytes of data per day without
a hiccup.
I have described POCO to some co-workers as the bastard child of ACE
and Boost, without the former's legacy cruft and with more of a
practical application developer's bent than the latter. The clean
implementation and lack of coupling between components has been
particularly well received.
