I finally gave in and tried Poco after hitting the final straw with Boost's unintuitive over-complicated design (or lack thereof) and after one day of porting our code from Boost to Poco, I can only offer the most sincere praise for the library. It's extraordinarily well thought out and laid out, and it feels like it was written to be used rather than just... well, written. It's such a stark contrast after using Boost where everything is needlessly complicated and has annoying quirks and inconsistencies every way you look. I'll shut up now, but not without a final "thanks again!"
