Building POCO with MinGW

Postby ShrewMouse » 12 Nov 2008, 10:52

Hi All,

I'd like to build POCO lib with MinGW but I find no information in readme ,... mention to it.

Can you tell me the way to do it ?

Thanks a lot

I'm also looking for this information. It would be nice if someone could post a quick tutorial.

See "BUILDING ON UNIX/LINUX/MAC OS X" in the distribution README file.

sorry that I forgot something.. I already built it on Linux OS before and it's rather easy to finish with cool directions in README. Here I'd like to build POCO lib with MinGW on Windows OS, I found a config file for setting on Window XP at: build/config/MinGW . But I don't know how to start with it ?

Thanks for any helps

I have not tried it myself, but

Code: Select all

./configure --config=MinGW
make -s

should work.

I won't be able to help you with this. Chris Johnson is MinGW maintainer and he reported MinGW build working out-of-the-box. Maybe he or someone else who has MinGW experience can help you.
