OS libraries deleted while installing POCO

All,

Unix admin tried to install POCO libraries in our Solaris 5.10 Generic_144488-06 sun4v sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise-T5220 server and it deleted the OS libraries.


./configure
make -s

Anything wrong in these steps?

I dont see how `make -s` could delete libraries. If the sysadmin can provide a plausible explanation, we'll look into it.
