Building POCO as 32-bit binaries in 64-bit linux

Postby tommy3000 » 10 Sep 2012, 15:10

Hi, I'm very new to POCO and new to C++ as well.

Our current system are 32-bit binaries running on Red Hat Linux 64 bit. Is there any way to force build POCO as 32 bit? I tried putting -m32 to CXXFLAGS but it doesn't seem to work.

I'd be really grateful if someone can shed a light on this.

Thanks.

Properly done, would be similar to the Darwin implementation. Check $POCO_BASE/build/config/Darwin [ 32 | 64 ] for an example. If you get it to work, would be nice if you could contribute it back.
