1.4.4 doesn't build on FreeBSD 7.4

When building on 7.4-RELEASE-p9:

The previous version,1.4.3p1, compiles fine.

A fix is in the 1.4.4 SVN repository. The upcoming 1.4.4p1 patch release will also fix this.
