Libpoco :build failed if the sub directory have *.o* pattern

Postby Simmi » 26 Feb 2014, 19:16

Hi,

Build for poco failed if the sub directory to a path contain *.o* pattern because it will treat it as object file not as directory

I am facing the problem while building poco 1.4.5 version.

The error I am getting is metioned below :

"make[4]: *** No rule to make target `/home/xpritri/Desktop/clone/temp.o', needed by `/home/xpritri/Desktop/clone/temp.o_build/3pp/build/poco/src/poco/XML/obj/Linux/x86_64/release_shared/AbstractContainerNode.o'. Stop.
make[3]: *** [XML-libexec] Error 2
make[2]: *** [3pp/build/poco/src/poco-stamp/poco-build] Error 2
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/poco.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2"

I renamed my build directory ( one of the sub directory in the path ) as temp.o_build so the build failed because of above mention error

Please suggest the way forward . This error causing the broken build
