Windows CE/Mobile Support

Postby keith » 26 Apr 2007, 21:29

Hi everyone. I being using Poco for about a week now, and I'm very impressed. I'm developing on Mac and Windows XP using Eclipse/MSVC 2005.
I'm in the process of porting Poco to Windows CE (Mobile 5.0 specifically). I have an initial version of Foundation working, but after reading some Poco docs I got the impression that Windows CE may be supported. Is a Windows CE port available, or should I continue to roll my own.

Thanks, Keith.

Hi Keith,
We are currently working on the Poco 1.3.0 release
and on our Open Service Platform, so we had to push
back Windows CE support, though it's something we
REALLY love to see in POCO.

So you can imagine how I enjoyed reading your post.
Finally, a POCO Foundation version running on Windows CE ()

We are currently shooting for a POCO 1.3 release on May, the 7th.
That's probably too early to integrate it in 1.3.0, maybe
1.3.1?

BTW. which version are you using? 1.2.9 or the SVN trunk?

Anyway, please contact me at

$pre.$post@appinf.com, with pre = peter, post = schojer

for submitting details or support or if you have any other questions.
And regarding your question:
please continue to roll ()

best regards,

Peter
