Poco - Android

Hello Poco Team,

I see that version 1.4.1p1 just comes out but, sadly, still doesn't include Android support.
I wrote an article on Poco forum about it few weeks/mounths ago and posted associated
source code (making Poco 1.4.0 Android compliant, with Android makefiles to build it) :

I'll be glad to know that my contribution will be added to the next Poco release.
Do you have any plan to do so ? If you have question about it, don't hesitate
to ask me on this forum.

Definitely planned for inclusion in 1.4.2.

Any idea when the release of version 1.4.2 will be? I would like to use Poco but it doesn't support Android.

Maybe I can test on the iOS and then test on Android later.

1.4.2 will be released next week. In the meantime, you can get the release from SVN (http://poco.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/ ... oco-1.4.2/). Android support is already there.

Sounds great. I'll definitely be using Poco. Although, I have to warn you that some people may stay clear from Poco if they are simply looking for a "network" solution without the bulkiness of also having the "foundation".

Do you think it'd be possible to use Poconet without many other things that some people might not need in the foundation library?
