Ubuntu 6.06

Trying to build Poco 1.4.5 on Ubuntu 6.06 (I know, it's older). Looks like inotify is not included/used in this early version of Ubuntu. Is there a way to build Poco 1.4.5 without inotify?

Code: Select all
g++ -I/usr/include -Iinclude -Ipoco-1.4.5/CppUnit/include -Ipoco-1.4.5/Foundation/include -Ipoco-1.4.5/XML/include -Ipoco-1.4.5/Util/include -Ipoco-1.4.5/Net/include -Wall -Wno-sign-compare -DPOCO_BUILD_HOST=ubuntu606build  -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_REENTRANT -D_THREAD_SAFE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -DPOCO_HAVE_FD_EPOLL  -g -D_DEBUG -fPIC -c src/Environment.cpp -o poco-1.4.5/Foundation/obj/Linux/i686/debug_shared/Environment.o
src/DirectoryWatcher.cpp:48:25: error: sys/inotify.h: No such file or directory

you could ifdef DirectoryWatcher out. I'm not sure when was inotify_event introduced; if you propose a patch (github pull request against develop branch, please), ifdefing it out, we'll look into it.
