How to install OpenSSL on mac for poco

Postby devdavid » 12 Mar 2013, 11:56

When making open ssl for pococ++ and android how do i build it so that poco finds the openssl .h-files

We tried:
./config --openssldir=~/tmp/openssl/
make
sudo make install

and copying the entire new openssl folder into the poco-1.5.1-all folder

Cant find it, do we need to build openssl for a different target or can we just move it somewhere where the linker finds it (Where?)?

I had this problem, too. I tried to add the "openssl" path to $PATH. But, when compile, it still did not work. Hoping someone succeed can help us.

Had you actually try to run that, you'd see that there is no config script. There is configure script, though. Furthermore, had you ran
Code: Select all
configure --help

you'd see that there is no '--openssldir' option; however, there is
Code: Select all
--include-path=<path>
Add search path for header files.
