HttpClientSession Pool?

Postby arhimondr » 31 Mar 2013, 17:05

Are there any plans to create something like DB Session Pool, but just for sokets\http sessions??
When it is already there or if it's easy to implement with existence tools, can somebody point me how to do it?

Yes, Object Poll is good enough. However it have no mechanisms to invalidate and delete from pool old objects by timer(in my case i should close redundant connections after some idle time). So in case of using Object pool i need to invent my own wheels such as worker which will clear old connections, and data structures which will store last use time. May be somebody known how can i use existing mechanisms from db connection pool to perform this?

SessionPool is DB-specific and it has its shortcomings as well. If you lack functionality in ObjectPool, extend it and send back pull request (please also send test cases along), we'll look into it.
