Javascript Browser Client App / POCO server

Postby besch » 20 Jun 2013, 14:17

Hey ! I have not really looked how POCO worked but will I manage (without pain) to communicate beetween a javascript app runing on a browser and a poco server in C++. (Like node.js). I quicly read that poco support websocket.

My objective is to allow clients to play together even if they are on a browser or directly with an .exe

Look at MQWeb. It does what you describes: The GUI is HTML, JavaScript (Knockout.js, JQuery, ...) and gets the data as HTML or JSON from a webserver written with the Poco::Net classes.
Zumuta!, that's the way to do IT!

It sounds like he is looking for WebSocket functionality, though. MQWeb looks like it is request/response-based.
