new line and c++ code not rendered in forum posts

Postby petrux » 10 Sep 2007, 13:59

Hi there,

when I write something here, new lines are not always rendered. Moreover, if I try to paste some code, the include directives are not rendered, as the "#" symbol il rendered as a numbered list index (?).

Thanks in advance and sorry if I used so many times the "render" verb! ;-)

You can inline code using the special couple of tags { CODE() } and { CODE } , with no spaces.
The resulting will be for instance :
Code: Select all

#include "something.h"

void toto() {
    doSomethingElse();
}

Hi cdelmas ,

thanks for your reply!
I could use the CODE visualization without any problem, but sometimes my newlines are not properly rendered :-(

Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks in advance,
petrux (this should have been placed in a newline, instead...)

Newlines are a special character I guess. To render a new line, you have to insert two newlines in fact. Maybe the TikiWiki documentation could help you.
