How to create any.pem and rootcert.pem

Hi,

In NetSSL_OpenSSLsamplesdownload directory, there are two pem files: any.pem and rootcert.pem. Please advise how to create them by openssl and what is the password when we run this sample code?

The password is test.

Pem files were created with openssl, I found a tutorial for that in the net but can't remember the URL. Shouldn't be a problem to find with google, though.

It took me a bit of experimentation to figure this out.
On the off chance this helps someone else in the future.

Follow the instructions at

There are some key differences

1) do not specify -nodes in any of the commandline options. You want to create a private key for your server. POCO openSSL wrapper code requires it to be available.

2) Use "hash=" to be sha1 instead of md5 in the openssl.cnf file

3) After you are done, do "cat cert.pem key.pem cacert.pem > key-cert.pem"

4) Rename the cacert.pem as rootcert.pem and key-cert.pem as any.pem
