Logger.shutdown

Hi,
My understanding is that calling shutdown() member function of logger also shuts down the associated channel, am I correct? Or, do I have to close the channel separately?

Logger::shutdown() does not automatically close associated channels. You'll need to do this yourself, although it's not strictly necessary as channels close implicitely in their destructor.
