atomic for linux

Postby hisitepu » 26 Oct 2011, 07:34

Why atomiccounter only support windows and macosx? I believe that gcc already has atomic intrinsics that can be used. Is there any technical/design consideration not using the atomic intrinsics in gcc?

I'm testing gcc + intel atomic for AtomicCounter implementation , if no problems, I will commit this feature to the trunk ASAP.

The code in the 1.4.3 SVN branch now uses GCC atomics.
