Günter Obiltschnig

Country: Austria
Title: Founder and Lead Developer
About: Günter is a software engineer with 16 years of experience in software development and architecture. His main interests include distributed systems, embedded systems, XML and middleware technologies. Despite occasional adventures in the Brave New World of Java and .NET, he still likes to express his thoughts in C++. Günter lives in the beautiful southern part of Austria, but travels the world whenever possible. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Linz, Austria. Peter Schojer

Country: Austria
Title: Lead Developer
About: Peter is a software engineer who studied at the University of Klagenfurt focusing on distributed systems. During his PhD his interests expanded to distributed multimedia systems, including proxy caching and transcoding of media streams aided by meta-data information (the various MPEG standards like MPEG-4/-7/-21). Although living in Villach, he is not that much interested in ice hockey and skiing but prefers activities including sun, beach and water.

Aleksandar Fabijanic

Country: USA
Title: Lead Developer
About: Alex holds two undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering from Technical Faculty (University of Rijeka, Croatia) as well as master's degree in software engineering from Citadel Graduate College in Charleston, South Carolina. He's been seriously programming computers since 1992 and developing steel manufacturing automation and process control software using C and C++ since 1998. He is using POCO at work and spends significant amount of his own time contributing to the project. He used to compete in rowing on World Championship/Olympic Games level. Nowadays, he spends his free time reading, exercising and occasionally woodworking.
