{"id":45,"date":"2006-12-22T12:05:26","date_gmt":"2006-12-22T10:05:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/appinf.com\/poco\/blog\/?p=45"},"modified":"2006-12-22T12:05:26","modified_gmt":"2006-12-22T10:05:26","slug":"merry-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pocoproject.org\/blog\/?p=45","title":{"rendered":"Merry Christmas!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/appinf.com\/poco\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/xmastree.jpg\" width=\"120\" height=\"180\" alt=\"Merry Christmas\" align=\"right\">A merry christmas to everyone from the POCO team at Applied Informatics!<\/p>\n<p>Since all of you have been so nice this year, we have a special present for you: the <b>NetSSL<\/b> library providing SSL\/TLS support for Net (based on OpenSSL), which up to now was only available as part of a commercial service level agreement, is now free and under the Boost license.<\/p>\n<p>You can get it from the <a href=\"http:\/\/poco.svn.sourceforge.net\/viewvc\/poco\/poco\/trunk\/\">Subversion trunk<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/project\/showfiles.php?group_id=132964\">download<\/a> it as part of release 1.2.7-ssl.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need a recent release of OpenSSL to compile NetSSL. For Windows users, we recommend the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slproweb.com\/products\/Win32OpenSSL.html\">installer from Shining Light Productions<\/a>. Linux and Mac OS X users can use the preinstalled OpenSSL version.
