Preferred way of getting default value in SQL queries

In Poco 1.4 the template for Poco::Data::Keywords::into looked like this: template < typename T > Extraction < T > * into( T & t, const T & def ); which made it possible to get a default value if the database contained null fields etc. This template is changed in poco 1.6 (which made my code...

Re: TypeHandler - parameter count mismatch

Okay, some code example: // Setup session <<"CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS rows " <<"(col1 TEXT, col2 TEXT)", now; // Insert Row row = Row("first", "second"); session <<"INSERT INTO rows VALUES(:col1, :col2)", use(row), now; // Select vector<Row> rows; ...

TypeHandler - parameter count mismatch

Hi! First off, thanks for a fantastic library, it fits our needs perfectly! I have an SQLite database with a table. To that table I have an object with a TypeHandler. The thing is that I would like to return one more column on select than on insert. This is since I want to put the results of the sel...

Re: Compiling external components

I found out it may be done by exporting POCO_BASE first, like this:

Code: Select all

cd poco-1.4.2p1/CppParser
export POCO_BASE=/path/to/poco
make -s
cd ..
cd PocoDoc
make -s
cd ..
make install

However, there might be a more "standard procedure" of compiling components?

Compiling external components

Hi! After a quick research I found that the Poco documentation is generated by PocoDoc, which is found in the sandbox. Very good thread here. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to compile it. I assume I should put both the PocoDoc and CppParser folders inside the regular $POCO_BASE, but how do I m...

Re: XMLConfiguration, invalid token

Thanks Guenter for your quick response!

Unfortunately, the users are able write their own entries, which may be using different locales. However, I guess I need to prevent them from using such tokens.

Once again thanks for this awesome library which makes my world so much easier :)

XMLConfiguration, invalid token

Hi! I'm using XMLConfiguration to read a file. If a character is found that is somehow not supported, like åäöéñ etc., a SAXParseException is thrown, with the explaination SAXParseException: Invalid token in '/usr/share/net-responsibility/blacklist.xml', line X column Y Is there any way to catch thi...

Re: Modules with ClassLoader, undefined reference

It just hit me, maybe my best option would be to compile the rest of the program as a shared library as well (except for a minimal executable that loads that main library) and link my modules to it. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Modules with ClassLoader, undefined reference

Hi! I'm trying to compile modules to load with the ClassLoader. My problem is that my module class have references to other classes found inside the main application. I'm using Libtool, Autoconf and Automake to run the compilation chain. Under Windows, in a MinGW + MSYS environment, I get lots of er...
