Support for Symbian

Hi there,

I'm quite a newbie, but I'd like to know if I can build the POCO library under a Symbian OS. Did anybody try this before? If not, is it a scheduled future feature? And, moreover, is this the right forum to post such a question? ()

Thanks in advance,

Error in the documentation

Hi there, I noticed an error in the documentation. In th "Introduction", go at the "Put it all together" section and search for the following code: void defineOptions(OptionSet& options) { ServerApplication::defineOptions(options); options.addOption( Option("help", "h", "display argument help inform...

Re: Re: not build

Hi there, I've been spending some days over this issue. I think that as the WideCharToMultiByte function is something Microsoft-related, the core problem is in using a gcc compliant compiler (as MinGW: I'm using it too). >Maybe you can figure out that stuff yourself and let us know what you did to >...

Thanks in advance,

Build error on Path.cpp, FPEnvironment.cpp, FileStream.cpp

Hi there, I'm trying to create a script to build POCO under Windows __without__ using VisualStudio. I'm currenlty focusing my attention on the "Foundation" library but I'm stuck. I could build all the .c/.cpp files except for 3 of them: Path.cpp, FPEnvironment.cpp, FileStream.cpp I tried to build th...

Building on Windows but WITHOUT VS

Hi there, I could build and use the POCO library on Linux (Debian Etch) using the Makefile shipped within the POCO package. Im' trying to do the same on Windows. As I use the MinGW building environment and the POCO documentation only refers to VisualStudio I ask: is it possible to build the POCO lib...

Re: Re: new line and c++ code not rendered in forum posts

Hi cdelmas ,

thanks for your reply!
I could use the CODE visualization without any problem, but sometimes my newlines are not properly rendered :-(

Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks in advance,
petrux (this should have been placed in a newline, instead...)

Hi alex, > Hm. Few clues: [cut] I've solved my problems on the Linux platform changing the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable (or the /etc/ld.so.conf file, then running /sbin/ldconfig).
