Re: [Newbie] Compilation problem

It seems that the Makefile has the library dependencies wrong. Try

Code: Select all

POCO_LIBS=-lPocoUtil -lPocoJSON -lPocoXML -lPocoFoundation

all: hello-poco

clean:
   rm -f hello-poco

hello-poco: hello-poco.cpp
   $(CXX) $(POCO_LIBS) -o hello-poco hello-poco.cpp

Re: POCO Multicasting

You need to bind the socket to an address (here we're using the wildcard address, but you could also bind to a specific interface) Poco::Net::SocketAddress groupAddr("239.255.255.38", 10381); Poco::Net::SocketAddress sockAddr(Poco::Net::IPAddress(), groupAddr.port()); Poco::Net::MulticastS...

Re: Poco delegate is not handling multiple requests

The behavior is the same on all platforms. However, there have been some changes to the event framework since 1.4, which may explain the new behavior you're seeing.

Re: Poco delegate is not handling multiple requests

Calls to the delegate method are protected by a mutex, so the same delegate cannot be called concurrently and calls to each delegate are effectively serialized. If there are different delegates, these will be called concurrently, though. You can either create your own Poco::Delegate class that does ...

Re: Solaris 10 error compiling Poco/Net component

We have no plans to support Solaris 10 in current POCO releases. Unless you need the NetworkInterface class, simply remove it from the POCO build by removing it from the Net Makefile and comment out the code in Foundation/src/Environment_UNIX.cpp (or change it to use the other code path not using if...

Re: Assertion violation when unzipping similar to #1298 #1416

Seems we have some issue with attachments in the forum. Please send me the Zip file via email (guenter at pocoproject.org). Also, have you checked if the error still happens with the poco-1.7.8 branch? There have been lots of fixes in the Zip library.

Re: Assertion violation when unzipping similar to #1298 #1416

If possible, please file a bug report on GitHub and attach the Zip file. And please also check with the current 1.7.8 branch, there have been a few fixes in the Zip library in this release branch.

Re: How do I authenticate a User using MongoDB

Starting with release 1.7.8, the MongoDB client library in POCO supports authentication using both MONGODB-CR (default pre 3.0) and SCRAM-SHA-1 (default from 3.0).
