Re: Poco::MongoDB: How to execute shell commands

You have to use the related MongoDB command to do this. For example: https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/referen ... tStepDown/. In the SQLToMongo sample you can see an example on how to create and execute a command (sample10).

You can use the Stopwatch class for this.

Re: support of JSONPath in Poco

Do you mean something like this with JSONPath?
There is some support in the JSON::Query class, but it isn't a full implementation of JSONPath.

Re: How to build a MongoDB query for ObjectId?

I was trying to figure this out and almost did it the way it shows in this question, but I thought I would add how I did it with ObjectId::Ptr. std::string str_id = "549479d4344bb5aff729d962"; //This is the only way I could create a PTR without Poco aborting the program when the PTR was d...

Re: How to handle JSON syntax errors?

Indeed it must be JSONException and not SyntaxException. I will fix this as soon as possible.

Re: JSONString

It seems to be removed here: https://github.com/pocoproject/poco/com ... 10f7cb7cd1
Maybe there was a reason for it? If not, I will add it to JSONString.

JSONString

I see that in the develop branch string formatting for JSON is moved to JSONString in the Foundation library, but I can't find any code anymore to escape unicode characters. Is there a reason for this or am I missing something?
