POCO C++ Libraries Release 1.4.0 Available
I’m proud and happy to announce that release 1.4.0 of the POCO C++ Libraries is finally available. This is one of the biggest (with regard to new features) releases we’ve done so far. Highlights in the new release are support for Visual Studio 2010, 64-bit builds on Windows, new build configurations, Windows Embedded CE and better iOS support and a long list of enchancements and bugfixes. Thanks. Regarding the SVN trunk: the plan is to start an 1.5 branch next year and merge the changes from the trunk (mostly Data and Var in Foundation) with the 1.4 branch. Once this is stable, it will be released as 1.6. Some improvements from the trunk (events, etc.) have already been integrated into the 1.4 release.
